Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing building data related to geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, and quantities and properties of the various building components, through the use of a three–dimensional, intelligent design. BIM is becoming a standard tool for architects, engineers, planners and quantity surveyors, driving the construction industry towards a "Model Based" process.

Roof & Façade’s BIM Competence Centre is a one stop shop which provides knowledge and services related to policies, processes and technologies associated with BIM.

Information related to the three main BIM domains- process, policy and technology- especially related to research developments, interviews with BIM experts, reviews on past events, updates on upcoming events, project case studies, new products etc, are hosted and regularly updated in this website, to inform readers on the current happenings in BIM and also help to drive the Building and Construction industry towards the goal of sustainable construction.

Associated with this Competence Centre, Roof & Façade will host a BIM Advisory Council, consisting of experts from the community of Architects, Engineers, Planners, Quantity Surveyors, consultants, the academia, government regulatory bodies, industry, software vendors, technology providers, users and other key stakeholders in the Building and Construction industry. This BIM Advisory Council will be a pivotal body which will provide a range of BIM-related consultancy services to interested parties in the Asia region.
